The series consists of 30 large-format laminated photographs inspired by advertisements, and 16 authentic clothing labels embedded in Plexiglas and displayed like scientific specimens. The series was inspired by a collection of around 5,000 clothing labels compiled by Przyjemska since the early 1990s. By altering the machine-embroidered text, the artist transformed the meaning of the message, which originally served as washing instructions. She changed the word ‘chemisko’ (chemical) to ‘etnisko’ (ethnic), referring to the ethnic cleansing during the Bosnian war. A group of three photographs from this series (Frontfix, Crete and Musik Korps) from the collection of Zachęta is entitled Kulturträger.
