Flower Pot was made specially for the exhibition The Łysa Góra Experiment — 50 Years Later at the Zachęta Project Room in 2016, a show devoted to one of the most interesting phenomena in 20th-century Polish design — the ‘Łysa Góra experiment,’ that is, the work of the Cepelia-affiliated ‘Kamionka’ artisan cooperative that functioned in the village of Łysa Góra between Tarnów and Kraków from 1959 to 1968. Through collaboration with outside artists, it became a testing ground for innovative painting concepts in the ceramic arts, and its products were highly influential in 1960s and 1970s Polish architecture. Przezwańska’s monumental pot, made using an original mould preserved at the defunct workshop, repeats one of the characteristic items from its product offer.
