In the staged photographs, we see situations with ambiguous meanings, such as models pointing to ‘sensitive points’ on their bodies, the places most prone to pain. The artist is interested in oppressive interpersonal relationships and their physical expression in the context of social institutions, power, emotional dependency and the violent aspect of human nature.
The works were acquired by the Zachęta collection after the solo exhibition Joanna Piotrowska. Frowst in 2020.
