Event in english

A tea meeting with the Aravani Art Project collective is an opportunity to talk about art, identity, and community, which are at the heart of their creative practice. The artists of the collective, which works to increase the visibility and amplify the voices of marginalized groups in the public sphere, will share their reflections on their work presented at the exhibition.

    What Are Our Collective Dreams?
    Global Connections — Abandoned Friendships

The exhibition opens the archives of Zachęta to revisit the networks of global artistic relations forged during the socialist era in Poland. Contemporary artists confront these histories with the present, asking what remains of the “internationalist friendships” from before 1989, and how they might shape our understanding of a shared past.
