На первой обширной монографической выставке Иоанны Пиотровской в ​​Польше представлена ​​подборка ее работ за последние несколько лет.  В постановочных фотографиях и фильмах художница сосредотачивается на изучении межличностных отношений и их телесного выражения.  Она смотрит на героев, запутанных в контексте социальных институтов, борющихся с проявлениями силы, эмоциональной зависимости и насильственного элемента человеческой натуры. Она интересуется семьей, безопасностью, домом и бездомностью, положением женщин, психологией и политикой ,восстания девочек или потребностью человека в контроле и господстве над животными.  Ее черно-белые, сделанные вручную, желатиново-серебряные отпечатки и пленки на 16 мм - это запись перформативных действий или зрелища, а не документа.
