19.11.2022 – 05.03.2023Kulisiewicz. Succinct Beauty
The Tadeusz Kulisiewicz monographic exhibition presents a unique selection of the artist’s works — drawings and prints — never before shown in one common space. The exhibition will feature works from galleries and museums such as the National Museum in Warsaw, the Asia-Pacific Museum and Zachęta — National Gallery of Art, but also from the Museum of the Polish Army and the Museum of Warsaw. A significant part of the exhibition will be works from the private collections of Leonard and Wanda Pietraszak, Jacek Kudelski, as well as Jacek Łozowski. An extensive selection of drawings, prints and sketches created throughout the artist’s life will be on display. There will also be works from the artist’s numerous travels to China, India, South America and Cuba.

03.10.2015 – 10.01.2016Just After the War
Is the key period in modern Polish history of 1944–1949 equally important in the field of art? How were the first years of the new, dynamically changing socio-political reality and atmosphere, on the one hand the “euphoria of rebuilding” and on the other the “Great Fear” interpreted by artists? The exhibition is an attempt to answer the question as to how the complicated social moods and political tensions in post-war Poland found their expression in the visual arts, photographs, film and also architecture and design.

30.11.2013 – 09.02.2014Map. Artistic Migrations and the Cold War
The exhibition presents a dynamic map of the post-WWII art world in the context of Polish artists’ and art critics’ travels to Europe and beyond. Marked on the map have been the points and vectors of those travels but also how – despite the Iron Curtain and the policies of mutual isolation – knowledge and inspirations were exchanged. The titular ‘migrations’ pertain not only to the artists themselves and their official and semi-official foreign trips but also to the phenomenon of travelling works and wandering ideas.
