ENGLISH VERSION
This publication accompanies Joanna Fluder's solo exhibition, presenting her paintings and installations created especially for Zachęta. Curator Michalina Sablik explores the artist's work in the context of her biography and social circumstances. In her essay, Agnieszka Taborska examines the affinities of Fluder's language and approach with broadly defined Surrealism, and draws artistic and literary associations from the works of Leonora Carrington, Frida Kahlo, Louise Bourgois, Olga Tokarczuk, and Silvina Ocampo. The texts are illustrated with a comprehensive selection of Fluder's gouache reproductions on canvas and paper.
